It’s hard to enough to make time for couponing during a regular season. How are we supposed to make time for holiday couponing, when everything else is demanding our time, attention, and energy?

Although it’s challenging, this is the most important time of year to make time for couponing. After all, it’s the time when we are likely to spend the most money. If we aren’t careful, we can blow our whole budget on gifts and holiday events. Then what are we doing to do for regular things like buying groceries?

Luckily, there are many things that we can do to make time for couponing even during the busiest season of the year.

Use Apps for Couponing

There are so many different apps to help with couponing. There are apps that help you find coupons, store them digitally, and then easily use them in the store. Coupon apps can also help you organize your coupons for efficiency. Of course, there are also budgeting apps, which can supplement your coupon use.

I like couponing apps is because I can use them anywhere. Paper coupons require you to focus on them when you’re at home. However, you can make time for couponing when you’re standing in a line or riding a bus as long as you use your phone to do it. I know that I always have my phone with me, and I often have downtime. Instead of scrolling through social media, I use it to update my coupons.

Make Time for Holiday Couponing on the Calendar

This busy season is a particularly good time to stay laser-focused on where your time goes. Therefore, you should schedule everything. Put it all on a calendar (which incidentally, should also be on your phone to further save you time). Make sure you set aside time for couponing each week.

If it’s on the calendar, you’re more likely to do it. Think about how much time couponing typically takes you. Then block out that time in your day.

Limit Where You Shop

Some people like to get their groceries from several different stores. They compare coupons and prices at different places. Then they get the best deal at each place. However, going from store to store takes a lot of time. Figuring out which coupons to use at which store adds even more time.

It’s helpful if you stick to just one grocery store during the busy holidays. Focus your efforts on finding coupons just for that one store. You may spend a little bit more overall than you would if you were shopping around. However, time saved is as good as money saved when it’s such a busy time of year.

Get Others Involved

If you’re like me, then you probably do all of the coupon tasks yourself. However, you don’t have to. You can delegate some of those tasks to other family members. In fact, you might be surprised to discover that one of your kids really takes to the task of finding the best grocery coupons.
