I love cooking, but not every day. I know that you get tired of cooking too. By Friday, I’m ready to grab something to go from fast food or my favorite sit-down restaurant. Getting takeout can often be costly, but it doesn’t have to be. If you’re like me and get tired of cooking all the time, here are some ways you can save on takeout.

Uber and Door Dash

Meal delivery services tack on many fees to your bill, including mileage, delivery, and even minimum order fees. Those extra fees can be costly, but that doesn’t mean the services are not without their saving opportunities. To save, start by getting Uber One or the Dash Pass free. I get mine free through my credit card.

These subscriptions save you up to 5% off your purchase and eliminate most delivery fees. You also need to check your email and app for special savings. Uber routinely offers me up to 60% off delivery or pick-up orders all the time. One for 40% off three orders has popped up on my account for the last three weeks.

Restaurant Loyalty

Many restaurants offer rewards or loyalty programs. Take advantage of the programs at the places you love most. With those, you get access to free birthday rewards, discounts, codes, and special savings opportunities. They also offer easy-to-use coupons cat fast food places such as Burger King, McDonald’s, Popeyes, and more. I love going to Popeyes, so I always take advantage of its coupon code to get my three-piece meal and a biscuit for $5.

Paper Coupons

Lastly, you can take advantage of paper coupons. Check your mailbox for those pesky paper coupons they put in between the Sunday paper. You will find stacks of fast food flyers. I love finding BOGO coupons for Subway and deals on pizza at Papa John’s.
