A part of couponing is trying to save as much as you can. Aside from coupons, you have to use cashback apps for epic savings. I have introduced you to many such apps such as Ibotta and Checkout 51, but today I want to show you how to get cash back with Shopkick.
What is Shopkick
Shopkick is a mobile application. You access it on your phone to get points. The app first hit the market in 2009 but has since gained traction among savers. It is essentially a shopping application. Users get rewards for their shopping habits in-store and online. The rewards are called kicks, and kicks accumulate. They can be used for gift cards.
How it Works
To use the app, open it up when you walk into the store. You will automatically get at least ten kicks just for going in. If you don’t have time to stop, you can get these kicks from the parking lot of most stores as well. Once in, you can click scan to see what kicks are available. A list of several items with various point values should come up. Find the items in-store and scan them to earn points. For this category, there is no purchase necessary.
If you want to earn more rewards, you have to click on the receipts tab under your selected store. A list of items will show up with corresponding point values. If you purchase the listed items, submit your receipt for the rewards points back. Sometimes the rewards earned are more than the value of the item.
How to Redeem Points
After you have accumulated a lot of points, you may be ready to redeem. To get cash back with Shopkick, open your app. Click the oval with the number in it at the top of your screen. From there, click on rewards options. It will bring you to the rewards page. From there, you can select a gift card to cash out. From time to time, there may be physical rewards like the Vespa for 1.8 million kicks, currently being displayed on the app.
