Even though groceries have been getting more costly, nothing has grown more expensive than eggs. At this point, you might as well get some chickens and have your own egg production. If you enjoy eating eggs but are tired of the high cost, here are some ways to get eggs for less.
Buy In Bulk
I don’t like to buy in bulk, but eggs seem cheaper if you buy them this way. There are several places you can get them in bulk. If you don’t have a membership, you can go to places like Kroger or Walmart. You can find a 60-count carton of eggs at Walmart for between $15-$22. If you have a membership, look for them at places like Sam’s Club, Costco, and BJ’s, where they are around $15 or less.
Online Grocers
Another place you can go is to top online groceries. While they are costly, there are a few hidden special grocery sites where you can get them for cheap. My favorite is Misfit Market. I’ve talked about them before, but one thing that they do have is a large supply of eggs. You can get organic Pete and Gerry’s for around three dollars per dozen. I racked up and got two dozen Nellie’s brand for $2.99 each. They will last a while.
Egg Alternatives
If you’re not stuck on regular eggs, you can always go for alternatives. I love carton egg whites. You can get the equivalent of 10-18 eggs from them. You can also go for something like Just Egg, which is a vegan product you can typically find for around $3. Other alternatives include wraps or a powdered mix.
Eggs may be going up in cost, but you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get your fix. Follow the posted video for more ideas on how you get them for less or post your ways below.
